Dr. Kane holds an MD degree from Rush Medical College, and did her gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Chicago. After 8 years on faculty there, she now has a specialty practice at the Mayo Clinic. She also holds a Master's Degree in Biostatistics and Epidemiology. She is active in clinical research in the areas of medication compliance and Gender Specific Issues in IBD. She is active in many national organizations including holding officer positions in WECARE in IBD, the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation and the American College of Gastroenterology.
