Sean Murphy is the Defensive Assistant Coach for the Kentucky Stickhorses of the North American Lacrosse League. Sean has coaching experience in men's and women's lacrosse including as assistant coach of the National Women's Lacrosse Team of Austria at the 2009 World Cup, coach of the NCAA division III College of Mount St. Joseph women's lacrosse team, in 2008 and 2009, and goaltending director for Trilogy Lacrosse camps since 2007. In addition to coaching the Kentucky Stickhorses, Sean also coached the Notre Dame Academy high school girls' lacrosse team in 2012. Sean began his lacrosse career playing goalie for St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati before playing in college at the Catholic University of America (NCAA D-III) and during graduate school at the University of Dayton (NCLL). Since 2002, Sean Murphy has played for the National Lacrosse Team of Ireland. In 2011, Sean became the first player to compete in a World Indoor Lacrosse Championships as both a floor player (defense) and goaltender.
