Patti Levine-Brown

Patti Levine-Brown is a professor of communications at Florida State College at Jacksonville.  Presently, she also serves as the faculty coordinator in the office of Academic Foundations where she is working with the executive dean to assist in implementing state mandated changes in developmental education. She has been active for a number of years on both the state and national levels in developmental education. She is the past president of the Florida College Reading Council, a former Florida Developmental Education Association (FDEA) board member, and in 2013-2014 served as the board president of the National Association for Developmental Education (NADE).

Patti has a doctorate in higher educational administration from the University of Texas at Austin. She also earned an Ed.S. in developmental education from Appalachian State University (ASU) and holds both a bachelor and master’s degree from the University of North Florida. In addition, she has completed coursework through the Kellogg Institute at ASU to become a certified developmental educator.     [ Click for More ]
