Deborah (Debbie) Warfield (ESFJ) has taught student life skills courses (College Success & Life Career Planning) for over 30 years. After receiving her M.S. Degree in Counseling Psychology from Loyola College in Baltimore, she relocated to Florida and started her career in higher education as a Counselor and adjunct instructor. In 1999 she was hired as SSC’s first full time College Success Professor. Debbie has used Becoming a Master Student as her textbook since the mid 1980’s and utilizes the “engaging course model” which enables her to acknowledge and celebrate the diversity of her students’ learning styles. She believes that her two decades of counseling experience gives her an advantage in the classroom by being comfortable interacting with her students on a more individual level so they know that she truly cares about their success. She was a recipient of the 2008/2009 Endowed Teaching Chair Award. She is a co-faculty advisor for SSC’s newly formed Non-Traditional Students Club.     [ Click for More ]
