Amanda Myers

Amanda Myers has been teaching college courses in various departments and disciplines for the last 8 years. She worked as a graduate teaching assistant in Auburn University’s English and Educational Psychology Departments for 5 years, teaching courses in rhetoric and composition, basic research methods, and adolescent development, learning, assessment and motivation. Amanda received a Masters of Liberal Arts (MLA) in 2005, an MA. with a concentration in rhetoric/composition in 2008, and a PhD. in Educational Psychology in 2010. Her areas of specialty are teacher training and adolescent learning. She currently works as an Assistant Professor of English at Georgia Gwinnett College where she is also one of the six charter members of the task force charged with accelerating the time to successful completion of writing requirements for developing college writers. Amanda also is involved with transforming remediation of first year writing courses and promoting a holistic approach to learning.
