Suzanne Biedenbach

Suzanne Biedenbach has been teaching various levels of college writing from basic writing to technical writing for nearly 25 years. She received an M. A. in English and Communications with a concentration in professional writing from Wright State University and a PhD. in Education with a concentration in composition theory from the University of Akron. Her research interests include issues in motivating developing writers, self-regulation and goal-setting strategies for developing writers, and research writing processes for first year writing students. She is one of six charter members of a task force charged with accelerating the time to successful completion of writing requirements for developing college writers at Georgia Gwinnett College where she is currently an Assistant Professor of English. The initiative involves a concurrent model of instruction based on the Accelerated Learning Program developed by the Community College of Baltimore County and is utilizing grant funds from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation as part of the Complete College America (CCA) Program.     [ Click for More ]
