Margaret Hahn

Margaret Hahn, Lead Instructor for General Education at the International Academy of Design & Technology – Chicago, began her academic teaching career as an adjunct instructor in Information Literacy, College Success, and Design Foundations. With a BA in Women’s Studies, BFA in Graphic Design, and a M.Ed in Educational Leadership, Margaret’s diverse academic background marries Liberal Arts, Educational theory, and visual design. At IADT-Chicago, Margaret has worked across curriculums in senior portfolio courses as a branding and identity coach to support students in the development and implementation of their brand. Margaret also standardized a Professionalism rubric for the Academy that is now used in all courses. Margaret loves the challenge of teaching students the elements and principles of design, teaching them to see and think differently, and pushing them and their work to a higher level. She empowers her students to think critically and independently in order to become sustainable and productive members of the “real world.     [ Click for More ]
