Rita Kranidis

Rita Kranidis is Professor of English and Director of the Global Humanities Institute at Montgomery College, MD. Since transitioning from university to community college teaching 15 years ago, she has been professionally active in serving her discipline and her college. She has served as campus coordinator for credit-level English courses; campus coordinator for Women’s Studies program; chairperson of English [including developmental and ESL]; college coordinator for Writing in the Disciplines, a national award-winning program she created and led for five years. In her role as director of an NEH-funded program, she trains faculty across the disciplines to globalize their courses and presents series of events for her College and local communities. Rita is a Faculty Advisor for TeamUP.
