When it comes to composition course redesign, everybody seems to be talking about ALP: the Accelerated Learning Program. This session examines the rationale behind the effectiveness of the ALP model and explains how it has been successfully implemented in schools across the country, including the speaker’s own college. Topics include the benefits of introducing the ALP for students, instructors, and institutions, as well as obstacles to overcome in the implementation of the model.
