In the era of PowerPoint, Prezi, and Keynote, students are bombarded with dazzling visual displays that require very little response. However, research indicates that participation in an active classroom discussion dramatically increases retention. In this session, the presenter will remind attendees of the basics of leading an interactive discussion and provide them with a toolbox of innovative techniques for engaging all students in an active pedagogical dialogue.
