Today’s employers are discouraged because many college graduates lack the skills they need for success. Hard skills can be taught on the job, but training graduates in soft skills like positivity, work ethic, and professionalism is a difficult challenge. This session’s focus will be on the fact that these skills can be introduced in first-year seminars, practiced throughout students’ college careers, and then transferred to the world of work.
