It seems as though every online classroom has one of these on the roster: a student who takes over the discussion board …or one that never participates, a full-of-excuses student; an unprepared student; or an angry, discouraged student. While instructors receive textbooks and manuals to aid in teaching the course content, they do not receive manuals to aid in effectively managing online student behaviors. This interactive session will allow instructors to examine the types of students they have and gain practical, active learning strategies to help them effectively manage the online classroom.
