Browning wrote, “Ah, but a man's reach should exceed his grasp - or what's a heaven for?" College students who find themselves in Developmental Reading courses often find the pace to be slow, the materials to be broken down into small pieces and the content to be irrelevant. This session will take a look at how faster, more challenging, contextual course work can help students to become effective readers who can handle college level work.
