In this session, Mike Bunn of the University of Southern California and Eddie Singleton of The Ohio State University will present several hands-on activities to train new Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTAs). Participants will consider issues ranging from leading classroom discussion, to working with non-native speakers, to grading and assessing student work. Materials will be provided for this interactive session, and time will be built into the schedule for participants' questions and comments. This session is appropriate for anyone with an interest in instructor training.
