This workshop focuses on the importance of building community for student success and persistence. Today’s commuter students, particularly those who are the first in their families to attend college, need to believe they belong in order to survive and thrive in college. This sense of community is enhanced and supported through collaborative teaching and learning. This workshop provides instructors with tools to develop student collaboration and increase interaction in the classroom.
