Since most writing instructors strive to get students to argue in their writing--and expand on those arguments through description - it's fitting that time be spent developing students' voices of these strategies in class. To this end, participants will learn four techniques for the face-to-face class (which could all be adapted for the online environment) to encourage students to find their voice. Participants will engage in quick versions of each of these activities to experience the learning as the students would, so be prepared to move and have fun!
