Is motivation only in the hands of the learner? The unmotivated student can, at best, display apathy and, at worst, cause disruption in the classroom. Can an instructor do anything to help motivate the seemingly unmotivated? Activities, ideas, and discussion will be used to examine the relationship of students to their assignments, course content, and class work. Professors will gain a better understanding of how they can impact the level of motivation in their classrooms and help their students to achieve a greater level of success in their courses.
