The Learning Skills Center at Kishwaukee College has partnered with the college's nursing program to help nursing students to be successful in their nursing classes. Nursing instructors highly encourage first-semester nursing students to take advantage of this assistance, although students further along in the program often participate as well. The two-step intervention includes instructions in the SQ4R method of study reading and one-on-one guidance in using higher level thinking skills.
