The purpose of this presentation is to identify, measure, and evaluation traits which are found in highly effective instructors. Highly effective instructors are identified by having high measurements in student satisfaction, student attendance, and student retention, just to name a few.

So what makes these instructors tick? Do they have common traits? “Ten Traits of Highly Effective Instructor” explores and answers these questions. The presentation also explores the myths of what some feel are ‘automatic’ positive instructor traits, such as years of teaching experience and academic level. In addition, the presentation also explores how a lack of these traits or an abundance of the opposite traits tends to identify poor instruction.
