Do you have trouble getting your Developmental Education students to engage with their text in a way that you know they understand the reading material? Are your students active learners who make connections with the text in order to comprehend what they have read? Graphic organizers are a visual and graphic display that shows the relationships between facts, terms and/or ideas. Using graphic organizers supports the students who struggle with reading assignments and help them map the information in a way to support learning.
