You will be learning about recipes for success when teaching college students with special needs. First course: Understand how accommodations and modifications transition from high school to college. Second course: Explore strategies to avoid the appearance of discrimination. Third course (caution- SPICY!): Explore controversial legal cases and opinions. Fourth course: Discuss best practices for students with special needs. Fifth course: Discuss common problems with accommodations and curricular modifications for special needs. Dessert course: Combine tools and faculty expertise to create solutions.
