The community college "College Success" course serves a unique population. We enroll first generation college students; recent high school graduates with lower ACT/SAT scores; or students from families where discipline and structure were not the norm.

Many of those students struggled to complete high school or attended a school that did not enforce rigorous academic standards. You can set the tone for your College Success students by establishing clearly defined learning objectives in your syllabus that compliment effective classroom management techniques.
