What three demons of the classroom stymie students regardless of discipline?  What two guidelines for writing can help student writers so that their arguments soar, exceed competence, regardless of audience:  unknowing, uncommitted, hostile, or agreeing?  In small groups, workshop participants will try using these guidelines to discuss controversial issues of enduring pertinence.
