The cut & paste culture of the Web has blurred the boundaries of intellectual property, leaving students bewildered about the conventions and expectations of college writing. Even conscientious students may inadvertently plagiarize. This session addresses the many “faces” of plagiarism (including “accidental/careless plagiarism, paraphrase plagiarism, and deliberate attempts to deceive) and how to effectively educate, detect, and respond when/if it occurs.
