This interactive workshop is designed to create a space for instructors to experience, explore, and develop ways of piquing student interest through active engagement as a fundamental tool for retention.
Two things to keep in mind: 1) No one likes to feel bad about themselves, and 2) When students are interested in what they are doing, they keep doing it. The more they do it, the better they get at it. And who doesn’t feel good about getting better? Workshop participants will go back to their classrooms with strategies that get students hooked on learning today and keeps them hooked for life.
