Jean retired from the VA Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN in July, 2009 after 23 years as the Coordinator of the ED Clinic and is currently an independent Urology Consultant. She received her BSN from St. Olaf College, Northfield, MN in 1970 and her Adult Nurse Practitioner from the College of St. Catherine, St. Paul, MN in 1986. She is a Past President of SUNA, past Annual Conference Chair SUNA, current SUNA Foundation Trustee as well as a Past President of the Upper Midwest Chapter, SUNA and their current UMCSUNA Exhibit Chair. Jean is a past recipient of both of SUNA's Presidential Trophies; Outstanding Contributions to the Specialty of Urologic Nursing 1998 and Outstanding Contributions to SUNA 2003 and as well as the Suszette McKay Memorial Excellence in Nursing Award 2006.
