Concrete Elegance
Alla Linetsky has been a professional mechanical engineer for over 20 years. She has had a varied engineering career, from industrial accident investigations to inspection of nuclear reactor pressure tubes to quality management consulting to product demand forecasting to supply chain management consulting, and most recently, making concrete.
She established Concrete Elegance Inc. in 2004 with the aim of developing strong and durable concrete - and turning it into beautiful, touchable surfaces. Soon after, she made a commitment to minimize her company's environmental footprint, and has been researching and incorporating more and more recycled ingredients, sourcing them locally as much as possible. Concrete Elegance currently makes the greenest surface material in Ontario, Canada, with nearly 90% recycled and local origin content.
Alla takes a holistic approach to her work: far from being threatened by her colleagues-competitors, she has been helping them improve their own techniques and mix designs.
