Asst. Professor & Floriculture Extension Specialist Nature of Business- Education Responsibilities- Erik's work involves research (50%) and extension (50%) in the Dept. of Horticulture. He works with floriculture crops. Research focuses on new crop development, environmental control of plant growth and development, growth regulators. Erik has been active in perennial Research Program at MSU since 1994. Performed research of environmental control of growth and flowering of herbaceous perennials, as well as other herbaceous plants, research on a variety of garden and potted crops, including studies on flowering and height control. Currently his work is with potted orchids, energy-efficient greenhouse production, and enhancing quality of uprooted cuttings.
