Harvey Lang is currently Director of Technical Support at Syngenta Flowers, Inc. (formerly Fischer USA). His duties include working closely with brokers and growers on production advice for poinsettias, geraniums, and other spring vegetative and seed products. He develops technical information and documentation on all Syngenta Flowers' products for both the greenhouse industry and consumers. He speaks regularly at regional, state, and national conferences and also participates in Syngenta's Plant Health Initiative. Dr. Lang received his B.S., M.S., and PhD from Kansas State University, Texas A&M University, and Penn State University, respectively. He worked for several years as a state extension specialist at Iowa State University and as an educator/researcher at Texas A&M University. He has also owned and managed a successful greenhouse business in which he produced year-round flowering potted plants and baskets.
