Paul A. Thomas is a Professor of Floriculture at The University of Georgia, on the main campus in Athens, GA. Paul has a 51/49 % Extension / Teaching appointment in the College of Agriculture. Dr. Thomas is one of the founders of the Southeast Greenhouse Conference, served on its Board of Directors for the first ten years of the conference, and currently serves on the Education Program Committee. He has earned several national publication awards from The American Society for Horticultural Science and also has many awards for his teaching and Outreach program activities. Prior to coming to Georgia, Dr. Thomas held the position of research scientist at the USDA/ARS Northern Regional Research Center in Peoria, Illinois. He has also held positions as Education/Greenhouse Director at the Chicago Botanic Garden, and as Greenhouse Manager at Southern Illinois University.
