In addition to writing on creating effective teams and innovation in health care organizations, two additional new books were released in 2005. Creating a Positive Workplace: Finding & Keeping Tomorrow's Health Care Workforce , published by AHA Press, focuses on the critical issue of creating a workplace where people want to come and stay. She is also co-author of Nature's Wisdom in the Workplace: Managing Energy in Today's Health Care Organization, which explores the application of the principles of energy to understanding common organizational challenges.
She has engaged and challenged audiences around the country and internationally since the early 90's. She has published dozens of articles and book chapters. Growing up in the Midwest, her undergraduate and graduate degrees are from Marycrest College and the University of Iowa. Additionally she has a Master's degree and a Doctorate in Human & Organizational Development from The Fielding Institute. Elected as a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, she makes her home in the Orlando area with her husband and their two dogs.
