Margherita Labson is the Executive Director of the Home Care Accreditation Program at the Joint Commission. She has specialized in the provision of home care and home infusion since 1977 and has extensive knowledge in the legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements for home care and home infusion. Labson is the past president of the South Florida INS chapter and regularly serves as faculty for the CRNI exam preparation course. In addition, she surveyed for the Joint Commission from 1995 to 2008. She received her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in Health Care Administration from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. She is a certified Professional of Healthcare Quality and a Certified Case Manager.
