Scott Freitag is president of the IAED. In his 25 years of experience in emergency care, he has worked in the field as an EMT and paramedic, in administration as an EMS program manager, in dispatch as fire communications director, and as a public information officer. He was appointed interim executive director of the consolidated Salt Lake City 911 center in May 2012. Scott has also served the NAED as an instructor and governmental affairs director. Scott is in his second term as a city council member in his hometown of Layton, Utah.
