Michael Dicker

Michael Dicker is undertaking a PhD on the topic of Intelligent Self-Actuating Composites Structures at the University of Bristol’s Advanced Composites Centre for Innovation and Science. This multidisciplinary project is supervised by Professor Ian Bond and Professor Paul Weaver from the Department of Aerospace Engineering, as well as Dr Charl Faul from the School of Chemistry and Dr Jonathan Rossiter from the Bristol Robotics Lab. The PhD focuses on the creations of chemo-mechanical actuation devices employing novel chemical control systems. Michael commenced his PhD in 2013, after graduating from the University of Wollongong, Australia, with a Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering.
