Zhichao Hu

Zhichao Hu was born and raised in Tianjin, China. He obtained his B.S. in chemistry from Nankai University in 2008. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in chemistry under the guidance of Prof. Jing Li. At Rutgers, he focuses his reach on the design, synthesis, and characterization of luminescent metal-organic frameworks (LMOFs), and the utilization of LMOFs as phosphors and chemical sensors. He also studies the electronic properties of luminescent materials and analyte-sensor interactions from a theoretical perspective via Density Functional Theory computation.
