Richard Haight

Dr. Richard Haight is research staff member in Physical Sciences at IBM's TJ Watson Research Center. He pioneered the development of femtosecond high harmonic photoelectron and photovoltage spectroscopies and applied them to studies of a wide range of materials, their surfaces, interfaces, nanostructures and most recently thin film photovoltaics. With 2 colleagues he developed and implemented the first industrial femtosecond laser ablation tool for photomask repair; it is presently in use at IBM as well as other semiconductor companies around the world. Dr. Haight is a fellow of the APS and OSA and chief editor of a 2 volume set entitled, "Handbook of Instrumentation and Techniques for Semiconductor Nanostructure Characterization".
