Job Rijssenbeek

Dr. Job Rijssenbeek leads the Battery Materials Advanced Technology Program at GE's Global Research Center to develop fundamental understanding of the mechanisms and operational conditions that affect GE's DurathonTM battery performance over life. His team has pioneered in-situ and ex-situ techniques for studying batteries leading to improved designs and more robust life predictions. He is the PI for a NY-BEST program that brings together experts from four New York State universities and Brookhaven National Lab to develop enabling technologies for next generation batteries. He received a BA from Princeton University and a PhD from Northwestern University. He has 18 peer-reviewed publications, and has two issued and four pending patents.
