John Tranquada

John Tranquada received his B.A. from Pomona College in 1977 and Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Washington in 1983. He has been employed at Brookhaven National Lab since 1986, and is presently the leader of the Neutron Scattering Group and a member of the Center for Emergent Superconductivity. He has been studying copper-oxide high-temperature superconductors with neutron scattering since 1987, shortly after their discovery.
