Samson Yuxiu Lai

Samson is a 4th year PhD graduate student in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He obtained his undergraduate education in MSE at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He is working on synchrotron-based in situ x-ray characterization of solid oxide fuel cells. Specifically, he is studying how catalyst infiltration improves cathode performance and how barium-based catalysts improve carbon and sulfur tolerance in anodes. He is also a fellow of the NSF IGERT for Nanostructured Energy Storage and Conversion at Georgia Tech.
