Materials research spawns new materials, processes and devices that have the potential to change the world, if successfully commercialized. This presentation will discuss the steps following that research breakthrough—completing the team, raising capital, partnering strategically, and charting the path from discovery to sustainable competitive advantage. Examples unique to materials technology will be emphasized.
