Nanoporous Ge Electrodes as Templates for Au Nanoparticles Electrodeposition

Germanium has gained renewed interest as a material of choice for future electronics and high-performance devices and it is receiving a growing attention as an anode for lithium batteries[1]. Following this trend, Ge has been employed in different morphologies and electrode configurations with particular attention devoted to nanostructures development[2]. Our aim is to decorate by electrodeposition the walls of nanoporous Ge with AuNPs avoiding particle aggregation.
