Jim Koontz, President, Jim D. Koontz & Associates, Inc has worked as a roofer, design professional, consulting engineer and researcher. Jim has authored numerous technical articles on single ply roofing including research on the hail resistance of EPDM. Mr. Koontz has a Bachelors degree in Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration from Tulane University. The firm of Jim D. Koontz & Associates, Inc. has provided laboratory services on roofing materials for numerous federal agencies, large roofing manufacturers, roofing contractors, insurance companies and private owners. Mr. Koontz is a registered professional engineer in eight states and is a registered roof consultant with the Roofing Consultants Institute.
