Director of OR Innovation, Technology, and Analysis Department of Anesthesia & Critical Care, Massachusetts General Hospital Warren Sandberg received his M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, with residency in Anesthesiology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). He is currently the Director of OR Innovation, Technology and Analysis at MGH, and Co-Program Leader of the Center for Integration of Medicine and Innovative Technology "OR of the Future Project". Dr. Sandberg's research interests include patient safety, clinical effectiveness, and OR throughput. Previously Dr. Sandberg and Mr. Spring collaborated on the installation and validation of RFID-based asset tracking at MGH. Currently they are focused on automatic process monitoring, information provision and electronic alerting in the OR environment.
