Robert Martin is the chairman of the Morongo Band of Mission Indians.
A recognized leader in Indian Country for more than two decades, Martin has served more than a quarter century in Morongo's tribal government. Martin oversaw development of the original Casino Morongo and years later, he guided the development of the Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa, one of the largest employers in all of Riverside County. Today, Morongo's business enterprises generate nearly $3 billion in regional economic activity annually. Martin has served on the boards of numerous organizations including the California Indian Manpower Consortium, the California Indian Child Welfare Consortium, Riverside/San Bernardino County Indian Health, Inc., and the Southern California Tribal Chairman's Association. He is also a member of the board of trustees for the California Museum.
