Russell Bodoff, MA
Russell Bodoff joined NHIA in 2007, and currently serves as the President and CEO. In this role, Russ oversees all aspects of the Association’s Strategic Plan, including the development of an Industry-wide Data Initiative, ongoing work to achieve a comprehensive Medicare benefit for home infusion therapy, and close management of the association’s resources to ensure a thriving and sustainable future. He led the effort to convert NHIA from an individual member professional association to an industry trade association. He also helped established the Future of Infusion Advisory Council. Before joining NHIA, he was the executive director of the Center for Aging Services Technologies (CAST) which he helped launch in March 2003 and the vice president of business and technology development for the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA). He was a leading voice in identifying how new technologies can help society respond to the aging of the global population. In the past few years he has been interviewed by over a hundred publications and has appeared on Fox Cable News, CBS, CNBC and the BBC as an expert on issues involving technology, health care and aging services.

Bodoff was responsible for developing and hosting major health care technology events for members of Congress and at the White House Conference on Aging. He led the development of the award winning video “Imagine the Future of Aging” and spoke at dozens of conferences and strategic planning workshops on the topic of using new technologies to move more health care out of the institutional setting and into the home. Bodoff came to AAHSA with over seven years of experience in building online businesses and 20 years’ experience in product and program development and voluntary standards and certification programs. He was responsible for developing and launching the world’s largest Internet consumer protection trustmark program, BBBOnLine. He has been asked to provide expert testimony on online consumer and privacy issues to the Senate Judiciary Committee, the House Commerce Committee and the European Commission. Bodoff has been quoted in hundreds of publications and has appeared on CNN and CNNFN as an expert on Internet consumer issues. He has an MA in Education from New York University and a BS in Communications from Temple University.
