Jill Marie Meyer, PhD

Jill M. Meyer, Ph.D., LCPC, CRC. Dr. Meyer is an Assistant Professor in Rehabilitation Counseling at Auburn University (AU). Dr. Meyer earned her doctoral degree in Counselor Education & Supervision (2011) from the University of Missouri- St. Louis, and completed her Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling (1996), at the University of Illinois- Champaign. Dr. Meyer currently teaches for, and is the coordinator of the AU master’s rehabilitation counseling program (on-campus and distance education). Dr. Meyer has taught courses such as Medical Aspects of Disability; Advanced Assessment; Counseling Techniques;  Research Methods; Occupational, Career and Placement Services, and Advanced Theories. Much of Dr. Meyer’s research and publications have centered on chronic illness and disability, incorporating positive psychology including concepts such as psychological well-being, adaptation to disability, and coping.
