Desa Karye Daniel, MA

Desa Karye Daniel is a second year doctoral student at Kansas Student University in Counselor Education and Supervision. Ms. Daniel serves as Counselors for Social Justice Graduate Student Representative and well as Student Representative for several other national organizations. She has been involved with Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development for many years as well. Ms. Daniel research interests are African American/Black women and their college experiences with microaggressions, invisibility, discrimination, and racism. Ms. Daniel’s clinical interests are ethnic minority college students with special attention to advocacy within student led groups. Furthermore she has been focused on bring attention and awareness to campaigns such as #BlackLivesMatter that help address societies concerns of police brutality and create equality for all groups.
