Melissa D. Deroche, MEd

Melissa Deroche is a Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S). Currently, Ms. Deroche is a doctoral candidate at the University of New Orleans, and was awarded a 2014-2015 doctoral fellowship from the NBCC Minority Fellowship Program. She has extensive experience counseling individuals and families with severe mental illness and those with sensory, physical, and cognitive disabilities. Ms. Deroche has presented on the topic of disability at state, regional, national, and international conferences, and has recently co-authored a book chapter  addressing the benefits and challenges associated with the use of technology to assist in supervision that included access considerations for  supervisors and supervisees with disabilities    .
