Isabel C. Farrell is a second-year doctoral student in the counselor education program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Isabel holds a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Northeastern State University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oklahoma. Isabel has worked closely with Hispanic immigrant clients for the last 6 years. She has provided counseling to Hispanic immigrant children and families in individually, group and family basis. Isabel focused her work with her clients on social adjustment, advocacy, parent education training, school involvement, and linkage and referral to social services. Isabel, being an immigrant herself, her passion is to advocate for immigrant clients and promote community awareness about the challenges this population faces and promote social justice.
