Caroline M. Brackette, PhD

Dr. Caroline M. Brackette is an Associate Professor of Counseling and the Assistant Dean for Graduate Programs at Mercer University. She is the recipient of the 2010-2011 Mercer University Josiah Penfield College Award for Excellence in Teaching. She is a licensed professional counselor and a certified school counselor. She is also a disaster mental health counselor volunteer and military reconnection workshop facilitator for the American Red Cross. She serves on various local, state, and national boards and committees. Her research interests include the scholarship of teaching and learning, counseling theories, skills, and techniques, leadership and advocacy, community collaboration and engagement, working with college students with psychiatric disabilities, intercultural competence. She has publications on these topics, and presented at various conferences and symposia.
